University Park at MIT - Working with a project team that included Forest City Development, the City of Cambridge, three architecture firms, fabricators, a historian and a sculptor, SPD created an environmental communications master plan for this 40-acre “neighborhood” located in the heart of Cambridge which combines retail, commercial, public and parking spaces. The master plan elements – which include identification, information, direction, and interpretative, regulatory, environmental communications elements – were designed to blend elements of science and technology with the history of the community in order to convey the neighborhood’s unique character.
